Important information about booking
The followings are some important advices about the lodging booking:
- Confirm your booking 72 hours before your trip. If you won't use it, please, contact us as soon as possible using the contact form or just send an e-mail to contact@linkingcuba.com.
- You should give the owner's name and the address of the lodging place to the immigration officer, once you arrive to Cuba.
- For the transfer toward the lodging place take a taxi at the airport and indicate to the driver the address of the house. Assure to be taken to the correct address. Perhaps somebody tries to offer you others lodging proposals, supposedly better and cheaper, nevertheless it could be illegal. Remember that your lodging is sure because you have already made a reservation and the house's owner will be waiting for you.
- Assure to take the official taxis (they show a label for identification). For your security, don't accept proposals of illegal taxis. The payment of the taxi is in Convertible Cuban Peso (CUC) currency. The transfer from the Airport of Havana to downtown costs around 20 CUC. Take fractional money for the payment. You can acquire CUC at your arrival in the bank or Money Exchange Office (CADECA) at the airport.
- The payment of lodging must be done just once you are in it. Then you must be registered in the guest's book.
- The legal lodgings are identified by the following anagram:
To rent an unauthorized house does constitute a violation of the Cuban law.
